ÜÇGE Group Companies realized the launch of “Women at Work, Power at Work” at Bursa Işıktepe OSB factory. ÜÇGE, acting with the principle of “We are equal”, aims to employ female employees in the field of production in cooperation with İŞKUR and Borçelik Technical Academy.
ÜÇGE's “Women at Work, Power at Work” launch was held with the participation of Bursa Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency Mr. Feyzullah Eren Türkmen, Borçelik Executive Board Member Mr. Baran Burat, Borçelik Management Systems Director Mr. Serkan Ürkmez and Borçelik Technical Academy and Quality System Manager Mr. Emre Bülbül as well as members of the press.
Esra Güven, CEO of ÜÇGE Group Companies, made the opening speech at the launch. Güven stated that the ratio of female to male population is almost equal worldwide, but the rate of female labor force participation in Turkey is low. She emphasized that women's participation in the workforce should be increased according to their level of education. Stating that the number of white-collar female employees is more equal, Güven drew attention to the need to increase female employment in blue and gray collar positions.
Güven stated that they support gender equality with data-driven strategies and believe that artificial intelligence technologies will reduce gender discrimination. Commemorating the value Mustafa Kemal Atatürk placed on women, she invited participants, business partners and all employees to work harder together for an equal and valuable future. Güven also thanked the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment Agency, Borçelik Technical Academy and everyone who contributed to the “Women at Work, Power at Work” project.
Following Esra Güven's speech, Seda Nur Akcan İncir, HR Director of ÜÇGE Group Companies, stated that the main purpose of the “Women at Work, Power at Work Women Employment Project” is to strengthen the role of women in business life and increase women's employment in our country. Ms. İncir emphasized that achieving gender equality is a great achievement for the whole society and stated that ÜÇGE Group Companies are committed to increasing women's participation in the workforce and supporting their career journey. Stating that women play a key role in economic and social development, İncir said, “We create value by leaving an equal mark on the future.”
Following Seda Nur Akcan İncir's speech, ÜÇGE Store Equipment Factory Director Taner Güler emphasized the importance of increasing women's employment and drew attention to the shortage of qualified blue-collar employees in the industrial sector. He stated that they aim to increase the share of women in business life with the “Women at Work, Power at Work” project. Stating that ÜÇGE differentiates itself in the sector with its technological investments and large production capacity, Güler emphasized that women's employment will make a significant contribution in this field.

Following the speeches, plaques were presented to Feyzullah Eren Türkmen and Baran Burat for their contributions to women's employment. The ceremony ended with an emphasis on the positive impact that this meaningful project, which aims to ensure a stronger and more equal presence of women in the business world, will have on the business world and society.
